Just
some pictures and comments from the last couple of months.
We
stopped at a neat little campground in Crossville TN called Bean Pot
Campground. Here's the bean pot, the pool and some of the scenery.
It was very nice.
The
pool at Camp Hatteras on the Outer Banks. Glad we weren't there the
past week with the floods and storms.
Here
was one of Yvonne's favorite places on the Outer Banks. There are
signs all over that say “I got my crabs at Dirty Dick's”.
The
nicest park we stayed at on our way across country to PA was in
Longview TX, Fenbrook RV. We were parked right across from this nice
pool and patio area.
Our
Garmin GPS led us astray more than once, but when we were going to
Sportsman RV, it led us 12 miles past the park on a very narrow,
crooked road. As it turns out, we went right past the park just off
the Interstate before our detour. Our site was right on a river and
was very nice, once we got there.
Our detour and the view from our dinner table.
Although we didn't go into Mexico on trip, we got close. At this rest stop in Texas, everything you see on the other side of our truck is in Mexico.
Kroger
bought the Fred Meyer chain of stores (in the Pacific Northwest)
several years ago, and it is incredible in how many states we see the
Fred Meyer name in Kroger stores.
Here's
a kayak at sunset at North Landing Beach in Virginia Beach VA. We
stopped there to see Rob and Carrie, the managers of our resort in
Casa Grande VA. They were there for the summer working on the park
renovation. The owner of Casa Grande RV bought that park this year.
Here
is where we ate lunch in Las Cruces NM on our way back to AZ. It's
an old stagecoach stop in Mesilla, a very authentic Mexican village.
Downtown
Mifflinburg PA, about 7 miles from New Berlin where we spent a month
at Steve and Sherry's house while they were up in Maine working at
Acadia National Park.
Here's
the sunrise that I saw each morning at New Berlin.
Some
scenery in New Mexico, our second favorite Southwestern state.
Our
last east coast stop was in Charleston SC. Guess why they called the
resort Oak Plantation.
Well, that cleans up my photo folder for now. We'll continue to post during this Winter here in Casa Grande. Lots of new stuff in the resort.
Hi you two. What a life you live, traveling to some great places.I hope this New Year's brings you both happiness and good health
